4 Recipes of Winter Coffees

When winter starts we tend to want to enjoy a warm drink while trying to keep warm. Although we like our good traditional basic coffees we also like a good treat during the day to keep us going.


Each recipe has different flavours and should satisfy your cravings of a sweet coffee some of which you might want to give a go if you haven't done so already.



Here are 4 recipes of winter coffees rated by several online sources:





Irish Coffee

If you like a little alcohol and want to try something different Irish coffee is for you, as it is mixed with whiskey.



Ingredients-

· 1 cup brewed black coffee

· 1 shot or 50ml Irish whiskey

· 1-2 tablespoons sugar

· Double cream











Method-

1. Prepare your brewed coffee and pour into a mug.

2. Add sugar to your taste and stir until devolved.

3. Then add Irish whiskey and stir.

4. Whip the cream until it is slightly thick.

5. Pour on top of the coffee.

6. Garnish with chocolate sprinkles.

6. Serve and enjoy!!





Eggnog Latte


Eggnog is popular mainly in America but if you want to give it a go this should tickle your fancy.




Ingredients-

· 1 cup brewed coffee

· 1 cup eggnog warmed

· Pinch of nutmeg

· 1-2 tablespoon light brown sugar

· Whipped cream









Method-

1. Prepare your brewed coffee and pour into a mug.

2. Add sugar and stir.

3. Warm the eggnog then pour into the brewed coffee.

4. Add whipped cream and garnish with a pinch of nutmeg.

5. Serve and enjoy!!





Peppermint Mocha


If you like the flavour of peppermint then this is the one for you.




Ingredients-

· 3/4 cup brewed expresso

· 3/4 cup milk

· 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

· 1/2 teaspoon mint extract

· 2-3 tablespoons sugar

· Punch of chocolate shavings or candy

· Whipped cream







Method-

1. Put the milk, cocoa powder, mint extract and sugar in a small saucepan over a medium heat, while stirring. Make sure it is heated well and sugar has dissolved.

2. Add the espresso and stir well.

3. Pour into a mug.

4. Add whipped cream and shaved chocolate or candy.

5. Serve and enjoy!!





Gingerbread Latte


If you like your gingerbread, the flavour of cinnamon and ginger be sure to try out this coffee.




Ingredients-

· 1 shot of espresso for each mug

· 1/2 cup milk

· 1/2 cup water

· 1/2 cup molasses

· 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

· 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup

· 1/2 tablespoon ginger

· 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

· Punch of Nutmeg

· Whipped cream




Method-

1. Mix the molasses, water, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla extract and some nutmeg in a small saucepan over a medium heat, while stirring. Make sure it is boiling and mixed together.

2. Prepare the coffee and add the shot of espresso into a mug.

3. Then add 3-4 teaspoons of the gingerbread syrup that was made.

4. Warm the milk until it becomes frothy and pour into the espresso and syrup mix.

5. Add whipped cream and a pinch of nutmeg.

6. Serve and enjoy!!
